The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1)
Jesus Says, I am the Way, Truth, and Life, (John14:6). He is not talking about something outside of you, He is saying: I am Your Way to the Father, I am your Truth, I am your Life-essence. We know this because, In Him was life, and the life was the light of men, (John 1:4). The Voice translation says it this way: His breath filled all things with a living, breathing light, (John 1:4 VOICE).
When God created man in His image, that means the image of Christ. Jesus Christ is the body, or living expression, of God, our Father. God formed man from the elements and then breathed the breath of life into him, and man became a living soul, (Gen 2:7). The very essence of your life energy is Jesus Christ.
The implication of this is that your moral conscience for Truth is: Christ in you. Because we are created in God’s image, we are powerful, and He has given us the power of choice. God allows us to choose to believe what we want to believe. Believing a lie is deception and brings darkness into your heart, which results in the truth and light of Jesus being more difficult to see. Since Jesus Christ is the voice of Truth, if you reject Him, you are giving yourself over to deception and darkness.
Jesus Christ is the revelation of the light, life and love of our Father. Jesus as your conscience and life-essence is there to guide you in loving God with all your heart and loving your neighbor as yourself. Practicing this causes your conscience to be happy. An example of this is how you feel good when you help someone in need. All the commandments in the Holy Bible are based on loving God and loving the people in your life.
What you believe can make a spiritual connection between you and someone, or something. It is very important to love Truth. God responds to your desires, and if you want truth, He will reveal Truth to you. If you desire to believe a lie, He will allow you to go that direction. God wants people to desire Him, but He will not force you to love Him.
Our soul is conscious of whatever we choose to focus on. This works fine when the person’s heart desire is toward Jesus and they have a love for Truth. However, if a person turns away from the Light of Christ, their soul consciousness can be clouded with dark clouds of deception which veil them from perceiving His truth and life. Read Romans chapter one to see the progression of how a person can lose all sense of godly moral perception. This happens when people become unconscious of the guiding light-life of Christ in them.
It really all comes down to choosing life or death. To choose life is to choose the One who is Life. Any other choice is not eternal life. Only in union with Jesus Christ is eternal life. To deny Jesus Christ is to deny your own life-essence and existence.
At this point you may be asking, “If people have Jesus Christ in them as their life-essence, why do they need to be born again?” Christ is in a person, leading them to be reconciled to the Father. The choice is: to live your temporary life as your own god, or give your temporary life to Jesus Christ and follow Him. Eternal life is union with Jesus, the Christ. Your new life is lived from the position of being in Him, united to the Father. Your life now belongs to Christ and His life is your life.
When a person believes in, and gives their life to Christ, they are then united to Christ. Born from above–from the Father–they continue into maturity, united to Christ. Unity with Christ is also union with the Father. The maturity of a born-from-above-soul takes place in union with Christ and the Father. Christ in you is the hope of glory. You united with Christ is where glory is realized. Your born from above life is found only in Him.
Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ. (Colossians 1:27-29 TPT)
The next Life Word will continue this thought, but will focus on how Jesus, as the Word, is in you.
