Who is God and Who am I – Your Spirit Knows
The two most important questions a person can ask are: who is God and who am I? Both questions are related because, the God who created you has a purpose for your life. Life is God+You. Deep inside your heart, you have a hope for greatness, you have a sense of eternity. You desire to love and be loved. You desire true peace, joy, and happiness. You desire eternal Life. These desires came from your Creator. You know that there must be more to life than your current situation.
THE STORY OF YOU
You are created in the image of God. That makes you special above all of God’s other creations in the cosmos. God made you a little lower than Himself because He desires relationship with you, a Father child relationship.
You began as a desire of God. He thought of you and planned an awesome destiny for you. He formed you and created you unique from everyone else in the world; because God desired to love and be loved by you.
The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4)
One day two cells came together from two different people, and in an instant the two cells became a new and unique new cell; with a new DNA blueprint that only you have. In that same instant God breathed your Spirit, into your mothers’ womb and you became a living soul. Together, your Spirit (breath of life), soul, and body make up you.
God planned your life and it was written in a book. Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began. (Psalms 139:16 HCSB)
This means that God has a planned destiny for your life. God is good and everything He planned for you is good. Everything good comes from God.
Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change. God was delighted to give us birth by the truth of his infallible Word so that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation! (James 1:17-18 TPT)
You may be thinking, if God is good and He only wants good for me why is my life like this? There is a problem. You were born into a fallen world. When God made the world, everything was good and wonderful. God put Adam and Eve in a paradise garden. They were given authority over the world.
When they were deceived into thinking that God was holding back something good from them, they began to question God’s love, they began to lose trust in Him. Love and trust are related. They then chose to not follow God’s good plan for them, and they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Everything changed in that moment, the whole world was affected because of the authority they had over the world.
God did not design people to know evil, only good. The plan was for people to spend eternity in the presence of God our Father, not knowing evil. In Heaven there is no evil only good. God can know good and evil without any temptation of evil, man cannot.
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. (James 1:13 NASB)
Why did God put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden? Because love without choice is not love. Without choice you would be a robot. God gave people a free will so they could be like Him. God wants people to choose to love and trust Him, love without choice is not love. Your will is powerful and can be used for good or evil, God’s way or your way.
People can choose to fully trust, have faith in God, or go their own way toward self-destruction. You can give yourself to good or evil. Your will is given as the power to choose your God.
Sin caused a separation between God and the consciousness of man. Jesus came to Earth to reunite us back into the holy relationship we had with God before the fall. In Jesus Christ, our Spirit is united with His Spirit, we now have the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of a child of God. Your Spirit knows God’s plan for you and communicates from God to you.
Your conscience knows your sins. Only the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross by shedding His blood for you, can purify your conscience from sin and death, (Hebrews 9:14). Christ became sin for you and gave His life for you so that you can realize the righteousness of God in Him, (2nd Corinthians 5:21). Choose to believe Him, give your life back to Him, and trust Him.
Spiritual transformation begins with believing in Jesus Christ, putting your trust in Him. Spiritual maturity continues through relationship with God as your Father. Not just knowing about Him, but knowing Him, experiencing Him.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him may have eternal life, instead of being utterly destroyed.” (John 3:16 CJB)
Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God. (John 3:3 AMPC)
If you want to accept God’s way (path), it is only found in Jesus Christ. Jesus says, I AM the Way (Path), true Reality, and eternal Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
If you would like to give your life to Jesus Christ and be united with Him and your Righteous Father go to You Must be Born from Above.
